Open Studios

REMOTE STUDENTS

Studio staff are available to answer your questions, help with your homework, and provide virtual feedback. You can submit a question using the Corcoran Techs Help Form or by e-mailing [email protected] . You must be signed into your GW email address to access this form.

You can also sign up for remote open studio time using the appointment page below. Each staff member has different areas of expertise, so pay attention to whose help you are requesting.

ON CAMPUS STUDENTS

All studios are by reservation only and must be made at least 24 hours in advance for weekday appointments and 8 days in advance for Saturday appointments to allow for staffing. Most studios require training before hand and all require some level of previous experience to access. Studio staff will not teach you completely new processes but are here to provide access to the studios and assist with technical and conceptual asepects of your practice. You may not be in the maker studios during your scheduled classtimes. You are responsible for providing your own materials. Make your reservations using the Appointment Page under each studio.

For Saturday open studios, two no-shows without 48 hour notice will bar you from any future Saturday reservations. This excludes emergencies.

For weekday open studios, three no-shows without 24 hour notice will bar you from any future reservations. This excludes emergencies.

Being 30 minutes (or more) late for your reservation without contacting the tech or [email protected] results in a no-show and the tech may leave.
