Join us for a new professional development workshop series this spring. We will be offering three sessions each on a different topic. If you are thinking about securing an internship, job, or applying to grad school, you won't want to miss this series. This series has been developed by your Corcoran Ambassadors specifically for Corcoran students!

Pre-Session - How to Network: Presenting Yourself Professionally

To help prepare for our Corcoran Professional Development Series, Shaunda Thompson, Industry Coach from the Center for Career Services, will be hosting a workshop especially for Corcoran students. The focus will be on networking: how to create an elevator pitch/professional introduction, what kind of questions to ask for panels and how to follow up with panelists.

Session One of this series will focus on in-person interviews. In this session you will participate in mock interviews with individuals representing the performing arts, visual arts and the arts related humanities.

Session Two - Social Media: Branding Yourself

Session Two of the series will focus on marketing yourself on social media. In this session, we selected representatives from performing arts, visual arts, and the humanities to talk about how they market themselves on social media. They will discuss the challenges they face in using social media to showcase their work and how they encapsulate themselves in a fast paced ecosystem.
