National Portfolio Day Virtual
The Corcoran School of the Arts and Design is a member of the National Portfolio Day Association, and this year, we will be participating in virtual National Portfolio Day (NPD) events. These events are completely online and are FREE to attend. Students have the opportunity to meet virtually with our faculty about their portfolio. Please note that admissions decisions are not made at these events. This is an opportunity to speak one-on-one with our faculty about your portfolio, our programs, and how to apply.

Corcoran Graduate Open House

We hope you can join us on campus for a special opportunity to hear from Corcoran Director Dr. Lauren Onkey and learn more about our graduate programs. Following an introduction to the school, each program area will host a program-specific Open House.
Following our Open House events, we invite you to return to the Corcoran Flagg Building for our Legacy Gala from 6pm-9pm. The Gala is a celebration of our Legacy: Fifty Years of Dance on the Edge exhibition.

GW offers Graduate Campus Tours of the Foggy Bottom Campus every Friday at 12:30pm. If you’d like to attend a tour, please click here to register. Registration for Graduate Campus Tours will open closer to the event.
Tours will leave from the Admissions Welcome Center, located on the first floor of the University Student Center (800 21st St NW, Washington, DC, 20052).

Students are invited to a gala celebrating our Legacy: Fifty Years of Dance on the Edge exhibition.
Following the welcome in Hammer Auditorium, we will break out for program-specific info sessions and open houses.

Corcoran Director Dr. Lauren Onkey will welcome students for an introduction to the Corcoran School.

We hope you can join us for a special on-campus event to see our Corcoran spaces, hear from faculty and current students and learn about our programs! If you are planning to apply for Fall 2023 admission, you will also have the opportunity to receive feedback on your portfolio or audition in-person for our Corcoran Scholars scholarship opportunity.
Following the conclusion of our Open House activities, all attendees are invited to join our Legacy: Fifty Years of Dance on the Edge exhibition performance and talk from 2-5pm.

Students and families are invited to an exhibition performance and talk for our Legacy: Fifty Years of Dance on the Edge exhibition.
Parents and students not participating in an audition or portfolio review are invited to take a Discover the Arts Campus Tour of the Foggy Bottom Campus led by one of our Corcoran Ambassador students.
- 2pm-5pm Exhibition Performance and Talk (Optional AfternoonEvent)
Students interested in our Studio Arts and Design programs are invited to meet with Corcoran Faculty to receive portfolio feedback. This is an excellent opportunity to receive feedback before applying.

Students who are planning to major or minor in Dance, Music, or Theatre and will be applying to GW as a first-year student for the Fall 2023 term are invited to audition for Corcoran Scholars.
Please note: if you plan to audition during our Open House, you must submit your completed audition application in SlideRoom no later than Saturday, October 1.

Spring 2023 Tour Dates:
Discover the Arts Tours are offered Fridays at 12:30 starting on Friday, January 20, 2023 through Friday, March 31.
Please note, there will be no Discover the Arts tours on the following date:

- Friday, March 17, 2023
During the month of April, Discover the Arts Tours will be offered on Wednesdays at 2:30pm.
The last tour for the semester will be on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.
