Exhibition Design

Elizabeth Enright, MA Exhibition Design ’14, resides in Richmond, VA with her husband, Evan and their daughter, Eva (3 years old). She underwent a lung transplant in June, and, with her new breath and creative energy, is following her passion for abstract painting.

Vian Borchert

Vian Shamounki Borchert, BA Fine Arts ’96, became the art lead/curator of Oxford Public Philosophy Journal based in Oxford University, UK. Exhibiting at high-end NYC Perseus Gallery in Soho. Exhibited in Medinaceli DeArte Museum Contemporaneo in Spain.

 

Graphic Design

Lesley Bryant, BA Graphic Design ’03, is currently a barber and owner of Lady Clipper Barber Shop. Her shop is located in Washington, DC and is run entirely by a staff of women of color.

 

Interior Design

Dance Austin, BA Interior Design ’06, founded his award-winning firm, Dane Austin Design, while studying in D.C., and later moved to Boston after earning his BFA. He excels in projects nationwide, with work published in top interiors magazines, and is a sought-after speaker.

 

MK Interiors

Molly Kunselman, MA Interior Design ’13, after more than 10 years working for prestigious design firms in Washington, D. C. and teaching interior design at the college level, has launched MKD Interiors, a full-service studio offering interior design, decoration, and coaching.

Alison Pruchansky, MA Interior Design ’07, is enjoying her new role as exhibition and curation manager at Artists for Humanity in Boston, MA. In her free time, she continues to make art and can be found as ample.art on instagram.

New Media Photojournalism or Photojournalism

Teresa Diaz, MA Museum Studies ’00, after many years working with art and artists opened Red Dot Art Gallery in Oaxaca City. The Gallery specializes in contemporary art by Oaxaca artists, and multidisciplinary events like artist talks, art tours, hands-on workshops and performances.

Nichol Gabor, MA Museum Studies ’19, is working as a fashion historian in Richmond VA. She is currently employed as the Nathalie L. Klaus Curator of Costume and Textiles at The Valentine museum.

Courtney Hawkins, MA Museum Studies ’19, began a new role as a museum curator with the National Park Service. She will oversee a four-year collections refinement project to enhance the management and preservation of the George Washington Memorial Parkway's historic collection.

Eric Lee, MA New Media Photojournalism ’20, joined The New York Times in June 2024 as a photo fellow and will cover Capitol Hill and the White House.

Museum Studies

Maya Davis (MA ‘14) was featured in an article by DCist, where she shared her experience as the Executive Director of the Riversdale House Museum.

Courtney Hawkins, MA Museum Studies ’19, began a new role as a museum curator with the National Park Service. She will oversee a four-year collections refinement project to enhance the management and preservation of the George Washington Memorial Parkway's historic collection.

Lori Schlenker, MA Museum Studies ’95, has been promoted to associate director for Collections and Facilities at the KU Biodiversity Institute and Natural History Museum in Lawrence, Kansas.

Laura Wilson, MA Museum Studies ’24, is the new collections specialist at the National Building Museum, helping to catalog their permanent photography collections and working with the team on the new visible storage exhibition, opening soon.

Art History

Bryan Hilley, MA Art History ’15, is the associate registrar at the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University.

Jane Pierce, MA Art Studies Contemporary Art & Museum Cultivation ’13, lives in NYC and works as a project manager in the Modern and Contemporary Art department at the Metropolitan Museum. She and Reid, her husband, welcomed their first baby, Vivian, in July.

Theatre

Holly Rymon

Holly Rymon, BA Theatre ’90, has been working in film and television for the past 30 years. This year as a Producer on the HBO show entitled "The Gilded Age' she is proud to share that her show has been nominated for Outstanding Drama Series.

 

 

Classical Acting

Monica Parks

Monica Parks, MFA Classical Acting ’11, I received an MFA from the collaboration with the Shakespeare Theatre Company's ACA. I'm currently acting in my 3rd season with the Shaw Theatre Festival in Ontario, Canada. (THE HOUSE THAT WILL NOT STAND; & WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION)
