  • Interior Architecture Professor Douglas Crawford, a faculty member part of GW's Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence Initiative, is quoted in a GW Hatchet article Officials launch artificial intelligence stating that  “I’m excited to be included amongst the faculty and be able to offer up the unique perspective of someone in the Corcoran School who is working on the graphic AI side of things,” Crawford said."
  • Interior Architecture Professor Douglas Crawford is included as a faculty member in the recently announced GW Trustworthy AI Initiative that was highlighted in GW Today, an independent student newspaper serving the GW community.
    This initiative is an interdisciplinary community of faculty, practitioners and students who produce knowledge about the design, development, deployment and government of AI systems.
  • Interior Architecture Professor Douglas Crawford was quoted in The GW Hatchet, an independent student newspaper serving the GW community, in an article "Libraries & Academic Innovation office forms AI advisory council". "What these things are being used for in my program is a totally different product than what generative AI at large is being used for." Crawford said.
  • Interior architecture and exhibition design graduate student work was included in a pop-up exhibition at the historic Heurich House Museum as a part of First Friday DuPont. The students collaborated with the Education and Preservation teams to reimagine details in the house and interpret them with a modern lens.
  • Interior Architecture Professor Erin Speck was quoted in a Washington Post article "9 Ways to Make a Dark Home Brighter". "Good lighting at home is important for your mental health" said Speck.
  • Architectural Digest included GW as  one of "17 Interior Design Schools Worth Applying To", The article noted that "Graduates of George Washington University’s Interior Architecture degree have gone on to receive job offers at top design firms and blockbuster businesses". The article highlights a "Notable Alumni" Lauren Waters (BFA 2016). Her firm Lauren Waters Design is a full service design studio based in Los Angeles, CA.
  • Interior Architecture Professor Melina Misri was quoted in The GW Hatchet an independent student newspaper serving the GW community in an article "Corcoran-NGA Deal Revision will Connect Students and Gallery Staff, Faculty Say". "We’re thinking a lot about how we can get (our students) out there, expose them to what’s going on in D.C. and also just to help build on this partnership." Misri said.
  • Steven Minion (MFA 2023 Interior Architecture) was featured in GW Today a news publication from George Washington University in an article "Favorite Memories at GW from Graduating Students".

    "We’re definitely in the really early days of learning what Midjourney can be. I'm excited to see where this goes" Crawford said.
  • Melany McGillvray (MFA 2022 Interior Architecture) was featured on Dezeen Magazine for a project she designed aimed at making the process of taking a pet for medical treatment less stressful for both pet and owner by rethinking the layout of veterinary waiting areas.
  • Yi-Chen Chang's (MFA 2021 Interior Architecture) Remembrance Crematorium project was included in an editorial roundup of student projects that examine themes relating to death, burial and the concept of an afterlife.
  • Britney Wurzak Hakimar (BFA 2011) was recently featured in Rue Magazine and Philadelphia Magazine. She is the founder/owner of Far Studio in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
  • Neala Jacobs (MFA 2013) is included in the book Becoming an Interior Designera part of the Masters at Work series. She is the studio director of the residential interior design firm, Jesse-Parris-Lamb, located in Brooklyn, New York.
  • Lizzie Grover Rad (BFA 2013) is the founder of Los Angeles-based clothing brand Grover Rad. Her collection is seen in Vogue magazine and Marie Claire magazine.
