Now available online, "Fast Fashion / Slow Art" features films, videos, installations, and performances by an international group of emerging and established contemporary artists and filmmakers.

"Fast Fashion / Slow Art," curated by Corcoran Professor Bibiana Obler and curator Phyllis Rosenzweig, was shown by the George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum at GW's Corcoran School of the Arts & Design at the end of 2019. Now available virtually at the Bowdoin College Museum of Art, it is a timely exhibition and catalogue that merges contemporary art and journalism to interrogate waste and consumerism in the garment industry, the cultural significance of which often gets unnoticed.

The show transitioned to a virtual format in the spring of 2020. In this video, the curators reflect upon new perspectives created by the global impact of COVID-19, and members of the BCMA staff speak to new materials and programming made available online.
