Congratulations on your acceptance to the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at GW! We hope you join us for our admitted graduate student programming on Thursday, March 26, 2026.
Kick off the day with the Columbian College of Arts & Sciences (CCAS) admitted student offerings and in the afternoon, join your fellow admitted Corcoran grad students for a welcome celebration and insider’s look at the Corcoran School of the Arts & Design.
Admitted Graduate Students Day Overview
10:30am-2pm Columbian College of Arts & Sciences (CCAS) Admitted Students Programming
Join CCAS to learn about the GW experience, housing, career services and more. As part of the event, enjoy a complimentary lunch with Corcoran faculty. There will also be opportunities to tour the Foggy Bottom campus. Please visit CCAS’s Admitted Graduate Student Day website for more details.

2:30pm-3:00pm Corcoran Welcome
Kick off our Corcoran programming with a welcome and school overview led by Deputy Director Laura Schiavo, plus a chance to meet other admitted Corcoran students across our disciplines.
Location: Corcoran Flagg Building, 500 17th Street NW, Hammer Auditorium
3:00pm-3:45pm Tour of the Historic Flagg Building
Deputy Director Laura Schiavo will host a guided walkthrough of the Corcoran Flagg Building highlighting our studios, spaces, and student hubs.

3:45pm-4:30pm Corcoran Graduate Admitted Students Reception
Join Corcoran faculty and current student representatives at a reception to celebrate your accomplishment and welcome you to the Corcoran!

If you’re in town on the evening of Admitted Graduate Students Day, we invite you to be a part of the Corcoran community and enjoy our undergraduate Theatre program’s performance of HEATHERS - The Musical. The performance will be at 7:30pm in the Betts Theatre at the George Washington University Student Center (800 21st Street NW).
