The Corcoran School of the Arts and Design's annual thesis exhibition—NEXT—opened to the public this week.

The building-wide exhibition features the culmination of undergraduate and graduate students’ learning experiences at the Corcoran. Graduating students' theses can take many forms, including a series of paintings or written research papers, and are displayed in the many gallery spaces throughout the Corcoran’s historic Flagg Building. Visitors to NEXT have the unique opportunity to observe thesis critiques and discussions between students and faculty as well as a chance to gain insight into the visual form-making process.

Held every spring, NEXT gives D.C.’s art community an opportunity to see the latest in contemporary art from fresh perspectives. It's also an opportunity to connect GW students with potential employers and art dealers.

The exhibition is open through May 15 with special Public Hours: Wednesdays 10:00 AM-9:00 PM, and Thursdays through Sundays, 10:00 AM-5:00 PM.
