The Corcoran, in collaboration with Curators Without Borders, will host a panel discussion focusing on immigration within the context of the 2016 U.S. presidential election on Tuesday, March 7 at 6 p.m.

Focusing on drivers of migration from Guatemala, photojournalists James Rodriguez and William B. Plowman and curator Heidi McKinnon will review their bodies of work in Guatemala over the last decade and current research into changes in migration patterns since the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Humanitarian Luis Cardona and other invited officials will offer further context into current implementation of deportation orders in the Washington, D.C., area, opportunities to support migrant families and review relevant legislation that supports DACA students, such as the BRIDGE Act.
