Chloe Varelidi
Bio
Chloe Varelidi is an award-winning designer, educator and the founder of the DC based design & research studio Humans Who Play and the toy company Follies, Inc. She is a Halcyon Alumna, a graduate of the Design & Technology MFA program at Parsons, The New School for Design as well as an Eyebeam Art & Technology Resident Alumna. Prior to starting her own practice, she was part of the early teams at the Institute of Play, Quest to Learn, the Mozilla Foundation and littleBits launching everything from top rated apps, to franchise products for Marvel & Disney, to a public school featured on the cover of the NYT Magazine and winning multiple awards for her work along the way, including some from NAPPA, ISTE, TOTY and Common Sense Media. She is recognized as one of the GOOD100 for shaping the world in meaningful and creative ways and frequently lectures about harnessing play as a force for innovation and doing good. In 2023 her work was featured in Forbes, Fast Company, Dwell Magazine, Washington Business Journal, New York Magazine, Domino Magazine, the Today Show, Good Morning America and many more.
