Call for Artists: ArtWorks ADL: Justice, Advocacy & Art

February 06, 2018

The Regional branch of the Anti-Defamation League will be holding ArtWorks ADL: Justice, Advocacy & Art on Thursday, May 17, 2018 to be held at the National Union Building from 7 – 10 PM. ArtWorks ADL is an art exhibition, fundraiser, and auction highlighting the mission and impact of the Anti-Defamation League - “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all.” The goal of ArtWorks is to engage, empower and educate the Mid-Atlantic community about the mission and impact of ADL through art. ADL is searching to work with at minimum 15 artists to each submit a signature piece to be included in an auction, where event guests can bid on the work. We are also searching for additional pieces to be sold at a marketplace station- a designated area at ArtWorks ADL that offers non-auctioned prints available for sale. The marketplace will be staffed by an ADL representative. Each piece of art work – painting, photography, mixed media or sculpture – should focus on one or more aspects of ADL’s mission. The theme of the show is entitled ‘The Good Fight’ and will feature art centered around the history of ADL and the Civil Rights movement in the Mid-Atlantic, the country, and the world.
