Benjamin Ames is an Architect and founder of Amestudio in 2002. He holds a BS from Georgia Tech and a Master of Architecture from the University of Maryland, where he was the recipient of the Dean’s Thesis Prize and the AIA Adams Prize. Ames has studied & worked abroad in Paris & Rome. Ames’ early work in Paris concentrated on Residential, Institutional, and Urban Design projects. As Senior Designer for HNTB in Washington DC., Ames worked primarily on airport projects in the US and Canada. Amestudio concentrates on the intimate scale of personal residences, engaging clients in landscape, architecture, and interior design. Ames’ work has been featured in Washingtonian, DC modern luxury, Home & Design, Coastal Living, and Interior Design.
