Pop-up book artist and photographer Colette Fu will speak about her work, much of which is inspired by her travels around the world, at the Corcoran on April 21 from 6:00-7:00 PM in Room 107.
A graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, where she received an MFA in fine art photography, Fu’s pop-up books are included in the Library of Congress, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the MET and other collections. Fu has also designed for award-winning stop-motion animation commercials and freelanced for clients including Vogue China, Canon Asia and Moët Hennessy. A passionate educator, Fu teaches pop-up courses and community workshops with marginalized populations at various art centers, universities and institutions internationally.
