In celebration of Washington, D.C.’s Capital Pride Alliance, the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design is partnering with Facebook to sponsor an artist competition for students.
Contest participants are being asked to create a work of art that depicts what love, inclusivity and community mean to them. Work can take any form, including mixed media, live performance, photography, sculpture and more, and must include the Facebook logo.
Once students have submitted plans for their designs, a panel of judges will select one winner, who will receive a $500 cash prize and $5,000 to produce their work. The deadline for idea submission is Friday, May 6, and ideas can be submitted here.
The winning design will be displayed at the D.C. Pride Festival on June 12.
