Eliot Seppa

Eliot Seppa is a bassist, educator, composer, arranger, and bandleader from Washington, DC who plays both upright and electric bass. Eliot earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in jazz studies from Howard University. He leads his own jazz groups - from a trio to a big band - in addition to frequently performing as a sideman for many different renowned artists. Additionally, he teaches bass at George Washington University, Sidwell Friends School, and in his own studio. Eliot was an Artist in Residence at the Strathmore Center for the Arts in 2019.
