Bio

Mr. Park has been a designer and an educator. His professional practice specializes in strategic branding and visual communication.

As a key executive member of PSA (Professional and Scientific Associates) from 1999 to 2014, Mr. Park pioneered a foundation of graphic department when he joined the company in 1999, and have educated employees and clients about the values of graphic communication as a branding of their messages while conducting and developing all the corporate communication strategies and collaterals. As a result, he implemented the graphic communication principles into the corporate culture as the intangible assets. He has also worked in the roles of Chief Creative Officer, Vice President of Communications, and Art Director.

 

He has worked for numerous Federal agencies, NGOs, and commercial organizations.

Current Outside Position

  • Chief Executive Director/Co-Founder and Instructor,  Studio 7/8
    • Studio 7/8 Incorporated is a design and art studio that provides not only graphic design and brading services to the public but also a comprehensive creative educational program for young students and their parents.
    • As the Chief Executive Director and co-founder, Mr. Park conduces, monitors, and develops all the graphic design business programs and the promotional materials with an emphasis on the graphic communication educations.
    • As the instructor, Mr. Park has developed and taught multiple book design courses: cross-disciplinary education programs for young students and inspired them to build VALUE: Vision, Abilities, Leadership, Uniqueness, and Experiences through the creative courses.
      • The main topics of the program are art, art history, and design for the 1st year program, introductory level of geology, paleontology, biology, zoology, ecology, anthropology, philosophy, and sociology for the 2nd year program, and a comprehensive practice: a magazine development course for 3rd year program.
      • Mr. Park has tried to raise awareness of the function of art and design education through the program by reminding the students and their parents about the humanity and revolutionery perspectives that improves current values and communities.

  • His design for the official poster for 50th Commemoration of Korean War:
    • Published in two major Korean newspapers, Korean Daily and Chosunilbo
    • Published on the June 2000 issue of Army magazine
    • Was selected as the official poster for the 2000 Opening Ceremony of the 50th Anniversary of the beginning of the Korean War Commemoration at the Korean War Memorial in Washington, D.C.
