Community Day 2013 is coming up on Saturday, November 2nd! We hope you are available to volunteer at this all-day celebration of art & creativity. This year, Community Day will include art making workshops & demos throughout the day (a printmaking workshop, ceramics workshop, workshops using recycled materials, and a 3-D printing demo), our second annual Community Art Fair featuring arts & crafts made by local DC artists & Corcoran students, and a Biergarten with beer tastings all afternoon in our café, Muse. There will also be music, films, and artist talks with NOW at the Corcoran exhibiting artist, Mia Feuer. We're really looking forward to a wonderful day!
Community Day will take place from 10am-3pm and we are looking for your help. We'll take any time you could spare including a morning, afternoon, or all-day shift. Breakfast and lunch will be provided to all volunteers.
AM or All-Day volunteers: please arrive at Corcoran by 9:30 am. You are welcome to arrive earlier to enjoy breakfast, which will be served from 9 - 9:30 am. The AM volunteer shift will end at 12:30 p.m.
PM volunteers: please arrive at the Corcoran by 12:30 pm. You are welcome to arrive earlier to enjoy lunch, which will be served at 12 p.m. The PM volunteer shift will end at 3:30pm.
