February 23, 2016

A wide range of handmade bowls in all shapes, sizes, and colors.

The Ceramics Studio of the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design welcomes your participation in our 6th annual community outreach project in support of So Others Might Eat. The Bowl-A-Thon will take place in the Flagg Building's ceramics studio from noon to 5:00 PM on select dates.

  • Monday, February 29
  • Wednesday, March 2
  • Sunday, March 6
  • Monday, March 7
  • Sunday, March 13

Our goal is to make 500 bowls!

This is the Corcoran’s 6th year making meaningful contributions to our community. Please join us and learn to make slab-built and wheel-thrown bowls for use at the SOME Empty Bowls soup suppers. At the suppers, guests select and take home a beautiful handmade bowl and enjoy a supper of soup, bread and dessert donated by local restaurants. The proceeds from the event help SOME continue to provide more than 1,000 meals each day to hungry and homeless District residents.
