Giselle Ruzany MA LPC (Ph.D. candidate) is a psychotherapist and contemporary post-modern dancer. Giselle Ruzany was born in New York City and grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; descendent of Polish Jews paternal grandparents, and a Brazilian mix of descendents from Africa, Brazilian Natives and Mediterranean Sea maternal grandparents. Throughout her journey as a psychotherapist and choreographer, Giselle has been investigating the crossroads between dance and psychology and how the world of somatic informs both. She is also a Ph.D. candidate in Expressive Arts Therapy doing art-based research with ancestral legacy with embodied digital storytelling.
