STABLE, is a studio complex in DC that was co-founded by three DC based working artists; Caitlin Teal Price, Tim Doud, and Linn Meyers. STABLE's mission is to strengthen Washington, DC's contemporary visual arts community by providing affordable and sustainable studio space, fostering an engaged, diverse community, and extending access to local, national, and international audiences through partnerships, programming, and exhibitions.
STABLE studios are below market rate, non-living studio spaces for visual artists. Artists are selected based on merit from a competitive pool of applicants by an external jury comprised of artists, arts professionals, and curators. The program is open to artists over the age of 21 who are American Citizens or have legal U.S. Residency status, and are not enrolled in a degree-granting program at the time of their residency. The program is open to artists of all disciplines of visual artists, as well as small, artist-run initiatives. Studio spaces will be available in Late 2018.
