Ryan McDonnell has been a working artist and teacher in the DC area for over 15 years.


He currently holds the position of Instructional Technologist 3d Fabrication (Clay) at The George Washington University, but has also taught at the Corcoran College of Art and Design and within DC’s public schools. He has shown works at many different venues in the DC area ranging from community days to the Smithsonian Craft Show. He has recently showing internationaly in Berlin, Germany and Brisbee Australia. He uses several mediums in the creation of his work including ceramics, stone, wood, and metal.


Ryan is very active in community service and his art work has benefited a mix of local non-profits, charities and youth organizations. He has received a number of grants from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. All of his grants revolve around mentoring and exposing youth to mediums not commonly taught in public school.
