Bio
Professor Fetters is director of marketing and sales for Quatrefoil Associates, an exhibition and experience design firm in Laurel, MD. Previously, he was director of marketing & communications at the Newseum (1999-2012) and was chief of public affairs at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in the 1990s. While in those positions, he was responsible for media relations, marketing, group sales, promotions, strategic planning and building each museum’s brand and audience. He counts among his career highlights the National Air and Space Museum “Star Trek” and “Star Wars: The Magic of Myth” exhibitions, and considers the 1994-1995 Enola Gay exhibit controversy a challenging opportunity for personal and institutional growth.
Professor Fetters teaches Museum Marketing.
