Bio

Margaret Richardson was the Collections Manager at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing for 12 years, where she cared for and researched a collection of over two million artifacts. Her areas of expertise are Civil War currency and banknote engraving, and she has published articles on topics ranging from Capitol building vignettes to Philippine Islands postage stamps.  Previously, she held positions at Lake Champlain Maritime Museum (Vermont) and the National Museum of Natural History.
