Personal Portfolio

An experienced university professor, Carmody teaches interactive graphic design, communication, book arts, audio and video post-production & animation courses in diverse departments and academic disciplines.

Carmody threw out his television 25 years ago and does not use Facebook, Twitter or texting; follows no celebrities, no sports, no video games and no crummy music; carries no credit card, no debt, no logos, and uses no smart phone.

A long-time musician and creative professional, Carmody has a large sampling of original songs, audio collages, time-lapse videos and photography he's composed, recorded and otherwise shot over the years.

Prof. Carmody's studio is an art installation — a simultaneous overlay of an art gallery, a performance space, a design office, a recording studio, a used record & book store and a pawn shop. A cross-section of his studio was featured in the Washington Post Magazine's “Second Glance” section, entitled "The Great Wall of Music".
