Erin A. Anderson

Bio
Erin A. Anderson is an art conservator specializing in objects conservation based in New York City. She currently acts as the website coordinator for Art Bio Matters, a community of curators, conservators, and scientists interested in the research of biological materials in cultural heritage. Erin worked at the Brooklyn Museum for eight years conserving materials ranging from ancient Egyptian artifacts to contemporary sculpture. Prior to that she worked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the British Museum, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, as well as in private practice and on an Etruscan archaeological site in Italy. She completed her MS in Art Conservation at the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation and graduated summa cum laude from Boston University with a BA in Art History. Erin is a Professional Associate member of the American Institute for Conservation (AIC).
