Diane Taitt is a passionate designer and teacher. Embracing life and the “concepts of Earth Centered Design”, she is a certified yoga teacher and beach expert, with the benefits of over 15 years of hands on interior architecture and design experience, as well as a fresh out of the box approach to managing and growing the interior design studio. Diane adopts a “wholistic” approach to management in the design industry: Integrating an understanding of the business and management processes, strategic marketing, and corporate goals with the creative processes.
Diane was a partner, and the interior studio team leader, at her previous firm for six years. Under her leadership, the interior architecture studio successfully built a portfolio of loyal repeat clients, including the YMCA, JE Robert Companies, Lockheed Martin and the Chevy Chase Land Company. Diane embraces a culture of mentoring and teaching. She has served as an adjunct professor at Pratt Institute, The Art Institute of Washington and Marymount University.
Quote - “Environments are the ultimate brand delivery vehicles, providing immersive sensory journeys to an audience. I embrace the theory in my work that the form and language of a space is an extension of the personality of the brand. Truly meaningful spatial experiences are created and successfully accomplished when strategic branding and organizational culture are thoroughly explored. Strategic branding remains a powerful marketing tool that clearly affects the bottom line. I demonstrate my success at this strategic branding through my work with the YMCA. I am constantly, challenging the paradigms and pressing for a more sustainable design culture. I believe that it is my social responsibility as a practicing professional to infuse my work with the principles of sustainable design.”
