Photography lab technicians are responsible for the general safety and upkeep of photographic labs (wet silver and/or digital labs), checking out equipment, and providing general assistance to students, staff, and faculty. Students should be organized, neat, detail-oriented, and have excellent people skills. There are positions available in both the darkroom as well as the digital labs in Smith Hall of Art. All applicants should have at least one year of photography education.
Additional requirements for the darkroom: working knowledge of traditional darkrooms as well as comfortable with learning to mix chemistry and adhere to proper safety guidelines.
Preference will be given to students with Federal Work Study and with more experience.
