The 2018 fellowship period is January 15 – May 1, 2018. Fellows will write approximately ten articles, 500-1200 words in length. A stipend of $1700 will be provided. The fellowship project was founded in 2016 through support from the National Endowment for the Arts, and in 2018 the project is funded in part by the DC Commission on the Arts.
The application period closes November 28, 2017 – at midnight. Applicants must provide: 1) a resume, 2) a cover letter, 3) one sample article written by the applicant. Applicants are expected to demonstrate expertise writing about one of the following areas: music, dance, film, visual arts, theater, performance art, or literature.
