Associate of Fine Arts*

* The Associate of Fine Arts degree program will no longer be offered effective Fall 2015. Students who entered this program prior to Fall 2015 will still be able to complete their degree program, as outlined below.

The Associate of Fine Arts program offers study focused in design, fine art, and photography. This 60-credit program can be taken full-time in two years or part-time over several. The Associate of Fine Arts program closely follows the beginning curriculum of the Bachelor of Fine Arts program so that students can easily apply to transfer into the Corcoran School's Bachelor of Fine Arts program or that of another art school, if they would like to expand their study. Others may decide to complete an Associate of Fine Arts thesis and use the degree to jump-start their careers without pursuing additional training.

Students in the Associate of Fine Arts program get the same personal attention from their advisors and the same level of faculty support as do all Corcoran School students, making for a rich and challenging experience. Those coming back to school after years in the workforce or from government service find the flexibility of a Corcoran School education, along with its high level of instruction, especially appealing.
